All information from ASCAN is sourced from public records. The purpose of this service is to provide information to ASCAN’s subscribers on an “as is” and “as available” basis for their reference only. We do not include all the information from every available source. We have no control over these external information sources and are not responsible for their content or availability. We do not guarantee that any individual search can reflect the whole information needed, or the information is always up-to-date or error free, P & L does not imply any individual or organization contained in ASCAN has any negative reference.

P & L reminds all subscribers the possibility of false reporting – that there may be a person or an organization that has the same or similar names. P & L suggests subscribers the need to do the due diligence in order to avoid any false reporting.

P & L suggests all subscribers to consider whether the information contained in ASCAN matches the source and any external database apart from ASCAN.

There are many interpretations of the links between the ASCAN record and the linkage. Subscribers should not judge negatively without doing due diligence. For example, a person or an organization that is being associated with the record, it only means that they are being associated with a Special Interest Person (SIP) as a relative or Related Close Associate (RCA). It does not mean the RCA is a SIP.

The definition of being sanctioned only means they are under ASCAN’s definition of sanctioned, it does not mean that the individual or the organization is being sanctioned by a particular organization.

The information and/or result of the screening services shall only be used for the subscriber’s compliance purpose but not commercial or redistribution purpose unless with our written consent. This information is only applicable to ASCAN’s subscribers under the Service Agreement.
